About Us

Turning Interest Into Action

Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. A.S.I.F. Abolish Slavery Ignite Freedom, emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community thru spreading awareness of Human Trafficking Laws, developing technology tools to foster community engagement, partnering with law enforcement to uphold those laws and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2019, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. Contact us to learn more and get involved.

Founder

I learned Human Trafficking existed while conducting Risk Assessments of our Critical Infrastructure facilities during my tenure managing Geographical Information Systems for a local government, Georgia Emergency Management Agency & The Department of Homeland Security.  It immediately changed my life. It was during 2008 when I became committed to learning what Human Trafficking is, how to recognize it and how to report it.  I started by gathering an understanding of what HumanTrafficking is and how to use my skills to make a difference.  In the beginning I developed websites, sharing information with whomever would listen within the organization and community until 2019 when I decided to make a bigger commitment to self- fund and develop this non-profit.  One of the positive impacts is to develop technology tools to help spread awareness, measure compliance, partner with local communities to educate the 14 types of businesses required to post the National Hotline number 1 888 373-7888 and aid law enforcement in enforcing that compliance in Georgia.  I feel by doing so, it will not only educate the communities of what human trafficking is, how to recognize and report it but also increase efforts to help rescue victims and hopefully, save another 's life.  Join me at our next outreach event or contact me directly for more information on partnering or joining or team.

DONATE FOR THE CAUSE

The non-profit shows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2000, our Women Empowerment Non-Profit Organization realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately are able serve our community with your donations.
